Description

Heavy Duty Polypropylene Webbing can be used for a variety of utility and accessory applications. Choose polypropylene webbing for bag handles and backpack straps, pet collars, leashes and harnesses, luggage straps and any other uses for a lightweight webbing. Polypropylene webbing does not have a high UV resistance, so it's not recommended for permanent outdoor applications. Polypropylene webbing is often used for sail ties, but will only last a season or two.

All Sailrite® webbing features a catch cord. A catch cord is a yarn which binds the "knitted" needle edge of webbing woven on a needle loom. The catch cord prevents the fill yarn from unraveling at the cut end. Cutting webbing with a hotknife is still highly recommended.

Polypropylene webbing is not intended for weight- or load-bearing applications. If you need a webbing with high tensile strength and abrasion resistance, choose heavy duty polyester or nylon webbing.

Please Note: The webbing is made to specifications, however due to the weaving process the width can vary up to ± 1/32".

Features:

  • Economical.
  • Lightweight compared to other heavy duty webbings.
  • Not much stretch.
  • Floats in water.
  • Absorbs least amount of water.
  • Slick to the hand.

  • 2" - 1,390 Lbs.

Note: Long lengths of webbing may contain a webbing splice and may not consist of one continuous length. Sailrite cannot guarantee one continuous length in large webbing orders.
