Dyneema® Webbing has superior strength without all the bulk! With 15 times the strength of steel, Dyneema is one of the strongest fibers in the world. This webbing has excellent abrasion resistance, the ability to float in water due to low density, and high resistance to acids and alkalis. It also has a low to no stretch factor. Dyneema is incredibly thin considering how strong it is, making it very easy to sew.
All Sailrite® webbing features a catch cord. A catch cord is a yarn which binds the "knitted" needle edge of webbing woven on a needle loom. The catch cord prevents the fill yarn from unraveling at the cut end. Cutting webbing with a hotknife is still highly recommended.
Dyneema Webbing is made out of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and is a great choice when exceptionally high strength is required. UV resistance is superior to polyester, meaning this webbing maintains its strength longer. This is a great webbing for a wide variety of applications, including support straps, tie downs, harnesses, load-bearing applications, sail corners for ring installation, drogues, jacklines, utility work and so much more.
Please Note: The webbing is made to specifications; however, due to the weaving process the width can vary up to ± 1/32 inch.
