Anchor Riding Sail Kit (20.25 sq. ft.)

Sew it yourself! The Anchor Riding Sail Kit (20.25 sq. ft.) has everything you need to make your own Anchor Riding Sail, sometimes referred to as a “Riding Sail,” for boats from 35' up to 50' long.  

How does it work? Think of this specialty small sail as providing windage that forces that boat to “sail” against the anchored bow. Once settled it will keep the boat on one side of the pendulum swing, eliminating the common swinging from side to side which is irritating while at anchor. 

To use the anchor riding sail:

1. Hank the sail to the backstay. 
2. Use a halyard (typically the main halyard) and hoist the sail to the height needed to clear any obstruction in the cockpit.
3. Secure the tack by pulling the luff snug/tight. 
4. Sheet to the toe rail or the outside genoa track.
