Double-sided adhesive basting tape is the easiest and fastest way to bond material layers together before sewing. Basting prior to sewing prevents feeding problems and provides more accurate, even hems that will hold strong on finished bags. Basting tapes are left permanently in place and are invisible. Included is a 3/8-inch tape for canvas; the 3/8-inch width is ideal for standard 1/2-inch hems. Also included is a 1/4-inch tape for canvas and upholstery; the 1/4-inch width is ideal for sewing zippers and piping.

This package includes thread snips and a seam ripper to make trimming threads easy. Use the thread snips to trim near your presser foot or close to your project materials. It’s also great for separating your project from your sewing machine after finishing a seam. The seam ripper is a clever 2-in-1 tool.
