Continuous Support Tape #6 is used in roller furling rigs along the leading edge of the sail instead of jib snaps. This tape features two hard braided cords sewn into a strip of 6 oz Dacron® tape. The first cord is a 3/16” diameter line with a 1/8” backup cord that is designed to keep the sail from jamming. This tape is for use with roller furling systems and grooved headstays. #6 is the most popular size of Continuous Support Tape used.
Sew Continuous Support Tape in place (no stretching necessary) and slide it into a Headfoil, Streamstay, Reefer, Twin Stay, Sea Furl, Gemini, Tuff Luff or similar grooved extrusion fitting over the headstay.
