The Sailrite^® Leather Safety Beveler is a professional favorite hand tool for skiving leather. The blade is designed to thin leather without cutting too deeply. This is a must-have tool for thinning leather edges where two pieces will be joined. Carbon steel (#123291) and stainless steel (#123267) replacement blades are available for this tool. Only suitable for right-handed users.

To use: Always cut at an angle, not perpendicular to the leather. Cutting at an angle allows the blade to glide through the leather. Cutting perpendicular to the leather is choppy and hard.
