Seamstick 1/4" Basting Tape for Canvas & Upholstery (36 yds.)

This is a double-sided acrylic adhesive that bonds well with coarse canvas fabrics like Sunbrella^®, Top Notch^® or Top Gun^®, as well as most home décor fabrics. Basting prior to sewing prevents feeding problems and provides more accurate, even hems and water-resistant seams. Basting tapes are left permanently in place and are invisible. If any needle gumming occurs while sewing, intermittently clean the needle with an alcohol swab or an adhesive remover. 

The narrow width of this 1/4-inch basting tape makes it perfect for use with zippers. The tape will stick well and is the perfect width to keep it away from the zipper's teeth. It is also excellent for attaching a cushion's boxing to the plate and piping in upholstery work.
