How to Make No-Sew Placemats
X-HT-300614
We used one yard of Textilene® vinyl mesh fabric for our placemats project. Vinyl mesh fabric is a great choice for placemats because it’s durable, mildew resistant and very easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. Textilene is 54 inches wide, and we were able to get six placemats from one yard of fabric. If you only need a couple of placemats, you might be able to use scrap mesh from another sewing project. One of the great things about this easy project is that you more than likely have all the sewing notions you need — you just need to order the mesh vinyl fabric.
Phifertex® Plus is another popular choice of vinyl mesh. It is also 54 inches wide, so you can get six placemats out of one yard of either fabric. We offer dozens of colors and patterns, from subtle neutrals to bright prints, so you’ll be able to find a Textilene or Phifertex Plus fabric that will perfectly match your RV’s color scheme. And who says these placemats are just for RVs and campers? Make them for your boat cabin, patio table and any place you need durable, easy-to-clean placemats that will last for years.
