Don't let the size of this project intimidate you! This fabric fence structure is easy to construct. The vinyl mesh fabric wraps around the bottom of the wooden frame and is simply stapled to the top and capped for a finished look on both the front and back sides of the frame. You'll need to visit a local lumber yard or home improvement store for the wooden posts, but all the DIY supplies you need for this project can be found right here at Sailrite®.
In our video, we're building this privacy fence to hide the unsightly pool equipment needed for an in-ground pool. From start to finish — building the frame, installing the mesh fabric panels and capping the frame for a finished look — this project took us between four and five hours to complete. This is definitely a DIY you can tackle in a weekend.
And to make it even easier, this can be a no-sew project! Depending on how wide your wooden frame is, you can find a vinyl mesh fabric wide enough to fit without having to sew fabric panels together. We stock several brands of vinyl mesh that are perfect for this DIY and that come in a variety of widths.
