How to Insulate a Car With Thermozite
X-HT-300690
Good insulation is a must-have in any vehicle. It carries two important benefits. First, it reduces how much outside sound leaks into your car while still allowing you to hear important things such as emergency vehicles. Second, it provides a temperature barrier that reduces how much radiant heat your car takes in from the environment — especially in hot summer weather.
We chose Thermozite Thermal-Acoustic Insulation for our car refresh. Thermozite is a two-sided material. On one side, a tough aluminum foil acts as a radiant heat shield, deflecting excess heat. The other side is 1/4" carpet padding, which helps deaden sound. The polyester padding is made of 100% post-consumer recycled material, making Thermozite an environmentally friendly automotive insulation option. Although we used it as car floor insulation, it's also great for door panels, ceilings, engine compartments and more.
