This origami bag pattern is super simple. Even if you are a brand-new sewer, you can make this bag. It's essentially just two fabric rectangles sewn together, then folded and sewn at the seams to create the bag shape. Add a fabric handle and you're done!
We used two different fabrics to make our origami bag reversible. It's like having two purses in one! We used two coordinating Magnolia Home fabrics. These fun, decorative upholstery fabrics feature bold prints and patterns, making them great for this type of project. They're also very economical, so you can make origami bags for all your family and friends.
Here's an alternative way to finish your origami bag. A tied bow handle adds a beautiful, feminine touch to this DIY project.
