Made in the USA!

CushionRite® Standard Antimicrobial Foam is a medium-density, polyurethane seating foam with antimicrobial properties. CushionRite Standard is an excellent choice for marine upholstery and partially protected outdoor cushions as its antimicrobial properties mean it can stand up to moisture and remain mold and mildew free. It is recommended for occasional indoor use and is not appropriate for frequent, everyday use and high-traffic environments. For a heavy-use foam, consider CushionRite Premium Foam from Sailrite®. CushionRite Standard can be wrapped in silk film to help keep moisture out, which is especially important when used in wet environments.

CushionRite Standard has a medium stiffness, a density of 1.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 45 pounds. Foam firmness/stiffness is a personal preference. If you prefer a softer foam, choose Standard (Soft) or choose Standard (Firm) for a stiffer foam. You can also layer CushionRite Standard with other seating foams to achieve the feel and level of support you need. The firmer foam should be the bottom layer if layering foams with different stiffness levels.

CushionRite is certified by CertiPUR-US® — a trusted standard for content, emissions and performance. This certification guarantees that CushionRite foam is:

  • Made without ozone depleters.
  • Made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals.
  • Made without formaldehyde.
  • Made without phthalates regulated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • Screened for relevant chemicals — including flame retardants — that are classified as carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins and are harmful to human health.
  • Low VOC emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 ppm).

The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of seating foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions.

Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2" in length and 1" in width.

Important: Items are compressed for shipping; we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

Features:

  • Medium-density, indoor/outdoor seating foam.
  • Antimicrobial—prevents the growth of mold and mildew.
  • Recommended for occasional use only.

Foam Firmness is a measurement of the foam’s softness. Indention Force Deflection, or IFD, is the pressure in pounds needed to compress a 50 square inch circular plate 25% of the way into the foam.
