Nylon Black Hook is the scratchy hook side of the two-part hook-and-loop closure system. When the hook and the loop pieces are pressed together the hooks catch in the loops and the pieces are temporarily bound together with excellent shear strength. They can be separated by pulling them apart. Hook-and-loop tape can be opened and closed up to 8,000 times without losing any of its strength. The hooks can attach to any part of the loop, giving this closure great adjustability.

Nylon hook and loop has a slightly better shear strength than polyester but doesn't last quite as long outdoors. Hook and Loop can be sewn to fabric or glued to hard surfaces.
