Add a smooth pass-through that hides the raw edges of your fabric or leather with the HandyPress® 3/16" Eyelet Die Set. This two-piece set, commonly known as West Coast dies, includes one upper and one lower die compatible with 3/16" (4.78mm) eyelet openings. The lower die holds the eyelet in place while the upper die rolls the end of the barrel to secure the eyelet. Belt holes, lacing holes, decorative accents and more — use this die set to create open holes with eyelets for a variety of project needs.

Each die is labeled "U" for upper and "L" for lower, making installation easy and straightforward.

Tip: The HandyPress® Sliding Backstop for Use With Lower Dies (#126448, sold separately) is a great tool to aid in hardware installation.

To Use: 

1. Install the upper die into the main vertical shaft's inner diameter and secure with the thumbscrew.
2. Place the HandyPress 3/8" (9.53mm) lower adapter into the tool base, then install the lower die and secure it with the thumbscrew. 
3. Set the tool for appropriate compression as directed in the HandyPress guidebook.
4. Place an eyelet on the lower die with the barrel pointing up.
5. Cut a 3/16" hole in your material assembly, then place it over the eyelet barrel.
6. Holding your assembly in place with one hand, pull the handle down to roll the eyelet barrel with the other hand.

Please Note: This die set does not cut holes in the leather/fabric assembly; holes must be cut before eyelets can be installed. Hole punches are sold separately. This die set is only compatible with 3/16" (4.78mm) eyelets.
