HandyPress® Rail System

This is an add-on accessory for the Sailrite® HandyPress®. Mount the HandyPress® Rail System to your workbench for more usage and versatility in hole punching, hardware installation, leather stamping and more. Slide the HandyPress forward to create an overhang when using the tool. Slide the HandyPress backward on the rail system to create more tabletop workspace. A heavy-duty, 17-inch-long base-and-rail set bolt securely to your worktable. Just bolt your HandyPress to the rail system and you can move the tool smoothly in a large forward-to-back range.

When moved all the way forward, the front of the sliding plate hangs over the front edge of the rail system by 3-3/4 inches (3" to lower die center). This creates a stable work surface with no obstacles directly underneath. The overhang acts like a cylinder arm on a sewing machine, giving you plenty of space to work with projects that would be difficult to fit into a traditional table-mounted press. This setup is ideal for installing snaps and rivets in bags.

When moved all the way back, the front of the sliding plate is 9-1/4 inches (10" to lower die center) from the front table’s edge. This allows you to rest your project on the table while working on large or heavy projects that need table support — installing grommets in heavy curtains, stamping large leather panels and more.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: This Rail System is the ONLY safe way to use your HandyPress with an overhang. The front of the tool should NOT hang over the table edge unless installed in the HandyPress Rail System.
